Maintaining Your Pool
Properly maintaining a pool is very simple. You simply have to add chemicals to treat your water which will prevent problems. If you do not follow a program such as this, you will probably have cloudy water, your bathers will be in discomfort and your equipment will be at risk. The program is very simple.

Initial Opening
When you first take the winter cover off your pool, if you had it closed properly, you should have clear water. After you have your Pool circulating and heating you can add the following chemicals to the water.
- Day 1: Scale, Shock and Pucks
Add Cop Out (30 ml / 10, 000 L) to prevent Staining and Scale
Add Aqua Shock (150 grams/ 10, 000L) to establish a Chlorine residual
Add Chlorine Pucks in Dispenser & Set to High
- Day 2: Algae Prevention
Add Wham-O (30 ml / 10, 000 L) to prevent Algae
- Day 3: Oxidize Organic Waste
Add Aqua Brite Plus (225 gr / 10, 000 L) to destroy "dead" chlorine

Properly maintaining a pool is very simple on pools. You simply have to add chemicals to treat your water which will prevent problems. Follow 3 steps and your pool will thank you!
- Shock your pool with Aqua Brite or Aqua Shock
- Prevent Stain and Scale with Cop Out
- Prevent Algae with Wham-O

Pool Closing
Closing your pool is almost the same as opening but in reverse! After you lower your water you can add the following chemicals:
- Scale
Add Cop Out (30 ml / 10, 000 L) to prevent Staining and Scale
- Algae Prevention
Add Wham-O (30 ml / 10, 000 L) to prevent Algae
- Oxidize Organic Waste
Add Aqua Brite Plus (225 gr / 10, 000 L) to destroy body oils, lotions and dirt
- Super Chlorinate
Add Aqua Shock (150 grams/ 10, 000L) to establish a winter residual or add Liquid Chlorine 12.8% (1L/ 10,000L)
